Privacy Policy — Manifest: USMCA Customs Docs
Last updated: June 11, 2026
Manifest: USMCA Customs Docs ("the app") generates customs documents (commercial invoices and USMCA certifications of origin) for Shopify merchants. This policy describes what data the app handles and what it stores.
Data we store
- Your company export information that you enter in the app's Company export info page (company name, address, tax ID, authorized signer, customs broker) — used to fill in your documents.
- Product trade data that you enter (HS codes, countries of origin, USMCA origin criteria per product).
- Feature suggestions you choose to submit via the in-app form (your message and your shop's domain) — used only to plan improvements.
- Anonymous usage statistics: when a document is generated we record the document type, destination country code, and selected options (Incoterms, export reason). No customer names, addresses, or order identifiers are stored.
Data we process but do not store
To generate a document, the app reads the relevant order from your store — including the recipient's name and shipping address — fills the document, and returns the PDF to your browser. This order and customer data is processed in memory only and is not saved by the app. Documents are regenerated on demand rather than stored.
Data sharing
We do not sell, share, or transfer any of the above data to third parties. Data lives in the app's database hosted on our cloud infrastructure and is used solely to provide the app's features.
Data deletion
When you uninstall the app, Shopify sends us a deletion request and all stored data for your shop (company export information, product trade data, and usage statistics) is permanently deleted. You can also request deletion at any time via the support email below.
